It’s a bit long, and you definitely want to hit mute before you start, but it’s great to watch these two titans locked in combat.

WordPress does not come with a “Preview comment” facility. However, it’s uber-easy to add one. Just upload this plugin and activate it. No further configuration required. I’m impressed.

Glad to hear that the comment preview plugin was so easy to install. I’m going to find an appropriate moment to recommend this to the WP-based blogs that I read regularly. Will also use it on my own WP-based blogs in future.
It’s a nifty plugin. I’m wondering whether it would be even better to allow commenters to edit their own comments, using a plugin such as this one.
Well, on HG’s urging I gave it a spin and it wasn’t happy with my theme. Preview = post. But then I’m using Ajaxy goodness on my comments. I wonder if you are too…
No, you’re not. That might be it then.
Sounds like it’s probably the culprit. I’m sure that it’s fixable, it’s just a question of whether you want to spend the time on it.
And the answer to that, sadly, is no.
(Previews are for pussys. Real men just post.)
Man, I had such an urge to edit some hideously malformed HTML into your last comment.
Yeah, innit. And often it’s not clear whether a site is going to strip HTML or not. Sometimes it’s useful to know whether I’m about to include a link or a link.
