No Heroes?
No, but it’s on the list of things to investigate.
Excellent. I just finished watching Season 2 (what’s been made so far of it, damn Hollywood writers) the other night. It’s all good, bar the occasional bit where you know exactly what’s going to happen next. It’s a bit bad at signposting a bit too obviously sometimes.
But I definitely recommend it. You can get HD torrents of it all too.
All fiction? Did you watch any good factual series/one-offs? The BBC Four series Atom was excellent – http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/documentaries/features/atom.shtml
(I rarely watch fiction as I find it either far too contrived or disappointingly dull compared to the mad world of real life).
We’ve watched some documentaries, but not many. We don’t watch TV when it is broadcast, so we don’t tend to see adverts, and the only way that we find out about interesting shows is via the Internet. It’s relatively easy to catch up on a serial (cough BitTorrent cough) but much harder to catch up on documentaries.
That said, I’ve found torrents for Atom on Mininova, so I will be checking that out.
The only things I think we have watched live on TV as it was broadcast were some episodes of Dr Who, possibly one of Spooks, and Bringing Up Baby. This is definitely the way to watch telly. No adverts, and to our own timetable.
