In this modern, Internetty world, Joel Harris should know better than to think he can copy someone else’s photo without attribution, and think that he can get away with it. He should have contacted me long, long ago.
In this modern, Internetty world, it’s a shame that we have copyright laws that make you write sentences like “think he can get away with it.” There shouldn’t be any laws that require him “getting away with” anything.
I agree that copyright law is deeply flawed. However, Joel Harris has copyright messages at the bottom of every page on his website, so if he is going to expect people to respect his copyright, then he should respect other peoples’ in return.
In this modern, Internetty world, it’s a shame that we have people who think they can just use other peoples work and then claim copyright is outdated is a way of getting away with it.
Or put another way “In this modern, Internetty world, it’s a shame that people have no manners”
