Current Series

Fallout New Vegas: Recharger Weapons Only

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of my YouTube channel, I return to Fallout New Vegas with a playthrough in which the key restriction is that I can only use recharger weapons (playlist).

Modlist here

Control

Control is a third-person action adventure shooter game by Remedy Entertainment, set in the fictional Federal Bureau of Control where weird stuff happens every day. We take on the role of Jesse Faden, the bureau's new Director (playlist).

Cat Quest

Cat Quest is a top-down action RPG in which we must rescue our catnapped sister from the evil Drakoth (playlist).

Previous Series

Fallout New Vegas

I've done multiple playthroughs of Fallout New Vegas.

Original Series

In my original series, I played using an energy weapons build, concluding the game with the Independent New Vegas ending (and playing through all 4 DLC along the way) (playlist).

Nomad With A Shotgun

In the second series, called Nomad With A Shotgun (playlist), my character has low intelligence, is NCR-affiliated, and as you have probably guessed, can only use shotguns and has to live a nomadic lifestyle. I tried to have as little overlap between the two series, so viewers who've watched the first series don't feel like they are sitting through anything twice.

Modlist for these two series here

Challenge Of Challenges

My third series I called Fallout New Vegas: Challenge Of Challenges. Each episode required me to play with a randomly-selected challenge. I completed all four of the DLCs and finished the playthrough pursuing the Mr House ending (playlist).

I used an updated modlist for this series, which is available here: Challenge of Challenges modlist

The JOAT

My fourth series was The JOAT, which stands for "Jack Of All Trades", in case you are wondering.

I must play by the following rules:

The aim of these rules is to force me into a hyper-generalised play style, where I can't optimise my build for any particular combat technique, I can't get any of the good high-level perks, and I can't pass any dialog skill checks or other skill checks that would require a high specific skill (playlist).

My mod list is broadly the same as for Challenge of Challenges: Challenge of Challenges modlist

A Short Hike

In A Short Hike we hike, climb, and soar through the peaceful mountainside landscapes of Hawk Peak Provincial Park as we make our way to the summit (playlist).

Alba: A Wildlife Adventure

In Alba: A Wildlife Adventure our mission is to save our beautiful island and its wildlife. And possibly start a revolution (playlist).

Bully

In Bully we play as Jimmy, a 15 year old schoolboy at Bullworth Academy, who just wants to ride his skateboard and fire his slingshot and kiss all the girls (playlist).

Cloudpunk

In Cloudpunk, we are Rania, a courier working for the illicit Cloudpunk delivery service in Nivalis. It's our first day on the job, and we discover that it's a dangerous job that few can endure for more than one shift. (playlist). I also played through the City Of Ghosts DLC, which takes place shortly after the base game (playlist).

Contrast

Contrast is a puzzle/platform game where you can move between a fantastic 3D world and a mysterious shadowy universe in 2D in the blink of an eye. Delve into a dreamlike and surreal 1920s world, inspired by the performance art world of vaudeville and film noir, and cradled by a smooth and sultry jazz ambiance (playlist).

Dead Island

Perhaps the only unfinished series on my channel is a playthrough of Dead Island with Jamie (playlist) which ran for 11 episodes before technical difficulties forced Jamie to bow out, and it didn't feel right to continue without him.

Dishonored

I did a blind playthrough of Dishonored, an immersive first-person action game that casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge (playlist).

I also played the two DLCs, where you play as Daud, the antagonist from the base game: The Knife Of Dunwall (playlist) and (playlist).

Firewatch

Another streamed game, in Firewatch you play the role of a man who spends a season as a fire lookout in the forest, to escape from problems at home. This game belongs to a genre often referred to as a "walking simulator" - a story-driven but highly linear game in which, with some exceptions, you follow a preset path (playlist).

From The Back Of The Grid

This is a series in which I go back and replay old racing and driving games of my youth, from the days of my trusty Amiga A500, to the near-present day (playlist).

Haven Park

In Haven Park we play as Flint, a spherical yellow bird who is working on his grandma's park, building campsites, repairing street lights and keeping things clean (playlist).

Lego: The Hobbit

A playthrough of Lego: The Hobbit with my son using local co-op mode. We've had lots of good fun playing Lego co-op games before, but this is our first time playing this one. In this series we mainly just played the main story quests - we did eventually go back and finish the rest of the side content, off-camera (playlist).

Minecraft

A good old-fashioned Minecraft Let's Play series, with a bit of exploring and a bit of building. In the first season I stayed fairly close to the default spawn point (playlist) and in the second I moved away with the goal of building a base that was influenced by the first base that I built on my first ever Minecraft file, now sadly deleted, back in 2010 (playlist).

In addition to the Let's Play series, I've done the following multiplayer series with Jamie:

I also did a short series on a modded multiplayer server called Golden Pig (playlist).

Ocean's Heart

Ocean's Heart is a top-down RPG in the style of Legend of Zelda games from the 90s, in which we play as a young woman named Tilia who needs to track down her friend who was abducted by pirates (playlist).

Raft

In this multiplayer Raft series, Karen, Amy and I gather debris, scavenge reefs and build our own floating home, while looking out for the man-eating sharks (playlist).

Rise Of The Tomb Raider

I attempted a blind playthrough of Rise Of The Tomb Raider, the second installment in the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy, focusing on Lara Croft's early adventures and evolution into a more mature adventurer (playlist). Unfortunately I was unable to complete the series, owing to technical difficulties.

Sable

In Sable we guide Sable through her Gliding; a rite of passage that will take her across vast deserts and mesmerizing landscapes, capped by the remains of spaceships and ancient wonders (playlist).

Saints Row The Third

I also play a bit of Saints Row The Third, though most of those videos end up on Jamie's channel (playlist). I do, however, make some short clips for my own.

The Stanley Parable

There are a few videos on my channel of me playing The Stanley Parable (playlist).

Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic

A completed series in which I played through Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic, a game about which I've only ever heard fantastic things (playlist).

Submerged

In Submerged, we play as Miku, a young girl who has brought her wounded brother Taku to a mysterious flooded city in their small fishing boat (playlist)

Subnautica

During the summer of 2020 I experimented a bit with streaming. Subnautica is a game in which you must explore beneath the surface of an alien ocean planet. Because this is streamed, the episodes are longer, and unedited (playlist).

Terraria

Terraria is a great game - the number of hours I've clocked up on it is testament to that! In this series, I alternate multiplayer exploration episodes with Jamie with singleplayer building episodes (playlist). We also have another occasional series in which we play competitively against the clock to complete a certain challenge, called Terraria Scavenger Hunt (playlist).

Tomb Raider

I also played through Tomb Raider (2013). I've been playing Tomb Raider games for years, and it's probably one of my favourite franchises of all time (playlist).

Tomb Raider: Underworld

Tomb Raider Underworld is the third and final Tomb Raider game from the Crystal Dynamics era, and is one of the few Tomb Raider games that I've never played before, either on or off camera (playlist).

Unpacking

Unpacking is a zen puzzle game about the familiar experience of pulling possessions out of boxes and fitting them into a new home. Part block-fitting puzzle, part home decoration, you are invited to create a satisfying living space while learning clues about the life you’re unpacking (playlist).

Yakuza 0

I did a blind playthrough of Yakuza 0, an open-world action-adventure game set in the late 1980s in Japan (playlist).

Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles

I also played the somewhat more relaxing and family-friendly Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, a game in which you explore a colourful idyllic landscape, run a farm, and help out the various people you meet (playlist).

Technical

My current computer spec is as follows:

My old computer, which I used for making videos between 2014 and 2023, had the following specs:

These days I record my narration using a AKG D5 microphone and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface (I have used a Shure SM58 for earlier videos, and before that I used to use a Zoom H2 which records to an internal SD card). I then use the following software programs:
